I was actually talking to a friend in class the one day how I want to hitchhike and explore, and he suggested I come to this. He's actually leaving in the summer go to the East Coast and back, which is pretty sweet. His first time, I'm pretty excited for him.
But yes, I came to this site, and I stuck with it because of all the really useful tips I've learnt on it. As well, you can meet other people who'll be serious about traveling. How 'bout you?

Though, if you're willing to go in like a year to a year and a half, we could just save up money, hitch hike, and then train/ferry when needed (which probably wouldn't happened a lot). Then whenever we go to a town, we just stalk up on canned goods and then just camp out.

Just as a forewarning, they'll look like a big, bushy mess for a good while before they actually start forming and looking awesome. Just gotta give them the time and effort

Thank you, dear. Yes, just got them at the beginning of last week, already a bit of a pain, but worth the work.
I still have another year to go too, but after that I'm taking several years off of school. I've been in school for 12 years of my life. I can have a break, lol.

Don't think I'll be going on my bigish excursion (going from Southern Ontario to the East Coast of Canada) until after I get my highschool diploma.. But this summer me and a few friends are planning on just train hopping to the nearest big city for a day or two and back.
Other than that, nothing too-too big. I eventually want to head over seas, go to Europe, Middle East, Africa, etc etc... but that won't be for a while, and even then, I want to see my own country before somewhere else, y'know?

Or thinking out of the "norm" in general. The general community I live in is very conservative, so me sharing different views on certain subjects with people has gotten me into many an argument.
As well, not too long ago a 17 year old guy ran through a field during a game, and got tasered... I guess a lot of people are getting unjustifiably tasered but police. Hell, even searching into Google/Youtube can get you lotsa results of police brutality.

It was all pretty much based upon a book I had read ("1984"). Thought control, brain washing, hierarchical society, so on and so forth.
As you have probably noticed, I'm an avid reader. I'm like an old lady, I read, quilt, and do puzzles *sigh* such a hard life...

That's sweet, if what the poem is about is related to the book I'm definitely going to try and find it somewhere.
As well, not sure if you've read and Jose Saramago books, but the one I read (Blindness) you might like that one. Epidemic of blindness that goes around; very amazing literature.
