Well here's my intro. My name is Jimi. I've been tramping for about 4 or 5 years now. I was in the army for 6 years and got addicted to traveling. So once I got out I didn't want to stop. I've been to around 11 countries and roughly 35 states. Most of my time I've been a leather tramp. I didn't start hopping freight until about 6 months ago. I got tired of hitching. I was waiting to find the right person to show me the ropes. But that didn't happen. I got really impatient. So me and my road dog (who has never hopped) decided to say fuck it. We caught out at Dunsmuir and Went south to Roseville. Right now I'm on a farm in Washington feeling itchy as fuck. I need to get back on the road/rails. So yeah thats my basic intro. Safe travels.

Yeah I was with the heard for most my time. My best time was with them. I miss jumping. Hopping freight and jumping are a lot alike. Both pack a adrenaline rush.

Ive designed a treetent based on chain-link material.
All you need is boltcutters, a chain link fence, and a few basic hand tools. :)

I encourage everyone to take to the trees.

Based out of Aspen but i like to hitch all over the world.

Well hey Jimi - welcome to STP. Sending you a pm to contact a couple of other ex military train travelers from some facebook groups too - both mostly hang down south but with plans of alaska perhaps.

Support StP!

Donations go towards paying our monthly server fees, adding new features to the website, and occasionally putting a burrito in Matt's mouth.

Total amount
$95.00
Goal
$100.00

Monthly Goals

  1. Paying the Bills
    $50.00 of $50.00 - reached!
The first $50 in donations go towards paying our monthly server fees and adding new features to the website. Once this goal is reached, we'll see about feeding Matt that burrito.
  2. Buy Matt a Beer
    $75.00 of $75.00 - reached!
Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully this will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $95.00 of $100.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart
    $95.00 of $200.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.
