Sorry that wasn’t a proper tribute post. Just a little shocked, both to be reminded of him, and in this way. I don’t remember him super well as it was about 15 years ago in a boozy haze. But he was a sweetheart and a true free spirit, I know I remember that much and that we rode a few trains together- I seem to recall his gear was a bindle and a weird little fixie bike- his knuckles said it all... RIP indeed. A real one.
im curious if this is someone i used to know in nola many years ago... did they get married to a girl in nola who's name started with an s? can't quite remember her name either.

I was wrong that he had the bundle and bike at the same time. That makes no sense. When I met him he just had the bike and a courier bag. Later it was a bindle when he’d went mad old timey. He was such a sweet and funny person and truly intrepid. One of my early favorite companions and role models.
