Cool! ThoughI feel like you could do the same thing with EMT (metal conduit tube) and it'd come out a lot sturdier and probably about the same weight. A little harder to work with, though.
Also I find that a plastic fast food tray works well if you tuck it under where the frame is supposed to go. Adds support and its not too bulky. Thinking about cutting holes in the one I got so I can lash it to the bag with the frame straps.
