I've clocked a bunch of miles i wasnt planning on this year, and its been awesome! I'm so happy to see as much as i can and so amazed at how everything always works out. There's no such thing as the wrong train just different routes imho.
I made it to dayton with time to spare, i went belen/kc(for supplies)/chicago(i got robbed)/indy/dayton. Besides getting robbed in chicago the trip has been great, quick trains good kickdowns and a nice 2 ride hitchhike to dayton.
Is it better to get a train close to dayton from kc or chicago?

A list of all the magic stores in the U.S. would be a sick feature on stp. Imagine you get off the train desperately in need of smokes and a slam, but you got ran off every corner... Dont worry stp knows exactly where you can get pall malls and some steelies with those foodies you picked up in the last town.

New day pack, rebuilt and painted my new bike, im recording and playing a show and i might hop to Eugene soon.
The dayton shooter was in a pornogrind band. Within the grindcore communities I've been apart of, it's general consensus that porno grind is toxic just by its overly misogynistic message and imagery. This all brings to question how long you can promote something through music or art before you actually practice what you're preaching.
Im back in ol' New Mex. It was 22hrs or so from kcmo to belen. I went through a beautiful thunderstorm in eastern NM.
Made it to kcmo probably going to hit argentine towards the west tomorrow.
Made it to chicago, had a blast. Got a bike a new bike at the squat i stayed at. So far ive been at the wsp hopout for 12 hours and not a single wbd has shown up.
Update on my luck: wrong train, cops pulled a gun on me, im off the transcon, and i have one day to get to chicago.
I got my first trespass in over five years of riding, but the bull in clovis was doing that thing were he scans the cars from a ladder and my bike had the back wheel off so i couldnt run. I caught the next train after he let me go.
The amarillo northyard hopout is trashed, can yall clean up after yourself. No wonder they put up all these new fences here.
Recently i dropped my bike when crossing a string of cars trying to get to my train. So i ended up stripping my bike of a lot of components i dont use in the next town cause the weight was a big issue. Seems to have helped a lot, maybe i should go full fixie?
I lifted a pretty sweet pack from rei the other day, nicest pack i ever had hands down.
